After some careless play in the Sagarana Clube defense, Alberto Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jean Leite. The Sagarana Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jean Leite should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 24 in the game by Sidnei Trigo from a close distance when the talented Douglas Viana managed to make a qualified save. SORRISO E. C.'s players were relieved. 27 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo da Rocha came free, but Jean Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Mendonça in the 28th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vágner Bastos during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute Alberto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sagarana Clube's zone, Alfredo da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean Leite came out of the goal and Alfredo da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Arnaldo dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sagarana Clube's protests and gave Arnaldo dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. Arnaldo dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Jean Leite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. When SORRISO E. C.'s Alberto Mendonça in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sagarana Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sidnei Trigo to strike the kick off in the second half. Jean Leite made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Bruninho Bueno sent off a good shot on target. Alfredo da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sagarana Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Alberto Mendonça scored to the left of an out of position Jean Leite, making the score, 2-2. Horácio Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Leite having to interfere. SORRISO E. C.'s Alberto Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Sagarana Clube got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Valadares. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Mendonça got free with Jean Leite in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, Eliseu Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, Yan Penha sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sagarana Clube's Jean Leite didn't even have to move. Sagarana Clube's Jean Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo da Rocha in the 77th minute of play. Jean Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo da Rocha in the 80th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Jean Leite successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Douglas Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidnei Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sagarana Clube were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after SORRISO E. C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tostão Goiano took the corner. A collision led to Sagarana Clube getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Sidnei Trigo hit a great ball. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sagarana Clube the free kick. The supporters of Sagarana Clube booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
