When Arnaldo dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sagarana Clube's protests and gave Arnaldo dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Arnaldo dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Ian Mineiro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jean Leite to make any attempt to save it. Jean Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maicon Moura in the 9th minute. Jean Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Mineiro in the 12th minute of play. Kléber Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 17 minutes, Vágner Bastos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sagarana Clube and the Dogelo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Vágner Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sagarana Clube booed when Dogelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Valdo Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Dogelo's Maicon Moura got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo dos Santos in the 29th minute of play forced Dogelo's goalkeeper Kléber Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdo Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sidnei Trigo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Ian Mineiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dogelo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Dogelo's Valdo Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Dogelo's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo dos Santos came free, but Kléber Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Narciso Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dogelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute, Ian Mineiro made a precise shot to the right of Jean Leite. Sagarana Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian Mineiro in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 75th match minute, Sagarana Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu Neto to maneuver through the defense. Valdo Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jean Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Eliseu Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sagarana Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dogelo the free kick. A collision led to Sagarana Clube getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Eliseu Neto hit a great ball. The supporters of Sagarana Clube booed when Dogelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Augusto Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Dogelo were victorious despite being under pressure from Sagarana Clube for much of the match.
