The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Jaime Simão put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Divina Comédia FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 2nd minute. Penalty! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudinho Lira during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes Dogelo got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Lira. The crowd rose to their feet as Arthur Barbosa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kléber Valle. That made the score 1-1 in the 16 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Divina Comédia FC's zone, Narciso Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bebeto Campidelis came out of the goal and Narciso Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Agnaldo Brasil fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dogelo's protests and gave Agnaldo Brasil a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Dogelo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Divina Comédia FC:s goal. Dogelo's Kléber Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Barbosa in the 35th minute of play. Claudinho Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Narciso Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Osmar Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Divina Comédia FC's protests and gave Osmar Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. Osmar Freitas hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorian Valladares to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Divina Comédia FC's zone, Maicon Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bebeto Campidelis came out of the goal and Maicon Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maicon Moura did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Bebeto Campidelis 70 minutes into the match. In the 76th match minute, Dogelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. When Claudinho Lira was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 79 minutes had been played. After 80 played minutes Dogelo got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Lira. Kléber Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Barbosa in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Divina Comédia FC booed when Dogelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Dogelo's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Barbosa came free, but Kléber Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96thth minute of the game Ian Mineiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Divina Comédia FC's Bebeto Campidelis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 96th match minute, Divina Comédia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel das Neves to maneuver through the defense. The Dogelo players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Divina Comédia FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
