The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Isaias Michael the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tello AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Isaias Michael had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Tello AFC's Isaias Michael got a free kick in the 7th minute. Generosb Cetina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donato Paublo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ugutz Munet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tello AFC's Donato Paublo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lertxun Oliver in the 19th minute of play. Donato Paublo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generosb Cetina in the 31st minute of play. Ugutz Munet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ugutz Munet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donato Paublo having to make a save. Donato Paublo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ugutz Munet in the 44th minute of the match. The supporters of Tello AFC booed when Deportivo Ortegano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matai Nanclares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lertxun Oliver stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lertxun Oliver might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Paublo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lertxun Oliver ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 53 minutes, Ugutz Munet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Ortegano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ugutz Munet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deportivo Ortegano's Tajo Labastida was substituted for Herauso Chillon. Fabio Semeno kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Deportivo Ortegano's Nicasio Armiñan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donato Paublo. That made the score 0-1 after 62 minutes of play. In the 81st minute Lucio Foro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pio Falla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tello AFC's zone, Nicasio Armiñan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Paublo came out of the goal and Nicasio Armiñan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Lertxun Oliver reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donato Paublo. The goal made the score 0-2. Lertxun Oliver struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Donato Paublo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Ortegano.
