Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Arto Õunapuu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Roland Lumiste hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Roland Lumiste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chip Nick having to interfere. After having played for 15 minutes, Arto Õunapuu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dundee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arto Õunapuu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17thth minute of the game Arto Õunapuu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hemmersbacher SV's Chip Nick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, FC Dundee's goal looked a bit too open when Claude Massey came free, but Ivari Olumets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hemmersbacher SV booed when FC Dundee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Villu Lesta didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hugo Allik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arto Õunapuu in the 26th minute of play forced Hemmersbacher SV's goalkeeper Chip Nick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arto Õunapuu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chip Nick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arto Õunapuu in the 36th minute of play. Hugo Allik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arto Õunapuu scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chip Nick, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arto Õunapuu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chip Nick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute Arto Õunapuu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chip Nick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Hemmersbacher SV players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Dundee were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabiano Emennegger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ivari Olumets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberio Gilardi in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Emennegger in the 55th minute of play forced FC Dundee's goalkeeper Ivari Olumets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rory Kirsch during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Dundee booed when Hemmersbacher SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiberio Gilardi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Priidu Elken kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Ivari Olumets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Emennegger in the 64th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arto Õunapuu got free with Chip Nick in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the match, FC Dundee's goal looked a bit too open when Claude Massey came free, but Ivari Olumets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arto Õunapuu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arto Õunapuu came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Chip Nick could save by the left post. In the 80th minute of the match FC Dundee got a corner. Hemmersbacher SV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jass Enula ran over to the corner to take the kick. FC Dundee's Jass Enula was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Chip Nick in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hugo Allik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the game, Erik Redi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Dundee's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hemmersbacher SV the free kick. The supporters of Hemmersbacher SV booed when FC Dundee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Redi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arto Õunapuu's late challenge caught a Hemmersbacher SV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arto Õunapuu helped the player get up and apologised. Arto Õunapuu hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Fabiano Emennegger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over FC Dundee could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hemmersbacher SV throughout the match.
