The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pompiliu Vizitiu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Spartak de Txurdi's Gonza Morado got a free kick in the 6th minute. A collision led to Spartak de Txurdi getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Silvino Higuera hit a great ball. Nicolae Niculcea struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Xesus Jurado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C Ａ R D I N Ａ L. In the 15th minute George Beloki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Vizitiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pompiliu Vizitiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osoro Amorebieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Pompiliu Vizitiu got control of the ball when George Beloki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xesus Jurado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Ticulescu in the 22nd minute of play. George Beloki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Pompiliu Vizitiu made a huge save. George Beloki took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pompiliu Vizitiu. Pompiliu Vizitiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, Spartak de Txurdi's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Aurelianu came free, but Xesus Jurado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pompiliu Vizitiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osoro Amorebieta in the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Osoro Amorebieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xesus Jurado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Plăcintă, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. George Beloki was the one to do the kick off. Ovidiu Moțoc kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Pompiliu Vizitiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Beloki in the 51st minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Spartak de Txurdi's goalkeeper Xesus Jurado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horaţiu Aurelianu. The Spartak de Txurdi fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Spartak de Txurdi's George Beloki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvino Ribas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The supporters of Spartak de Txurdi booed when C Ａ R D I N Ａ L was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Dacian didn't get a good kick on the ball.
