Martino Segarra came out of the goal and Luiz Fabiano Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, Remo Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcinho Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martino Segarra having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vaccean Warriors's Goyo Hernandez got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience was convinced that Marcinho Meirelles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martino Segarra was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Léo Jardim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octavio Zárate. Cesinha Saraiva scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martino Segarra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Marcinho Meirelles sped through Vaccean Warriors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Martino Segarra. Martino Segarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho Meirelles in the 45th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcinho Meirelles to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcinho Meirelles in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martino Segarra saved Vaccean Warriors from getting behind. Cesinha Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Martino Segarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martino Segarra made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Luiz Fabiano Messias sent off a good shot on target. Martino Segarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcinho Meirelles in the 66th minute of play. With 73 minutes on the clock, Inautzi Barba commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 74th minute, Inautzi Barba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesinha Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martino Segarra was a little too slow when Marcinho Meirelles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-4. Martino Segarra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcinho Meirelles's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After 94 played minutes Vaccean Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Zárate. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
