Chiquinho Alcântara received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mark Wilhelm came out and tried to block the shot, but Chiquinho Alcântara slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 11th minute. Mark Wilhelm came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Pesqueira City's Franklin da Fonseca. But to his dismay, Franklin da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chiquinho Alcântara got free with Mark Wilhelm in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pesqueira City were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Boca Gregorian Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Valdemar Nascimento took the corner. 24 minutes into the match, Dráuzio Sergipano notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Boca Gregorian Juniors's Mark Wilhelm. Mark Wilhelm was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Erasmo Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erasmo Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Pesqueira City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Linares to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chiquinho Alcântara made a kick off. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Chiquinho Alcântara sped through Boca Gregorian Juniors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mark Wilhelm. In the 54th minute, Júlio Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Boca Gregorian Juniors's Kees Zuiverloon got a free kick in the 56th minute. Mark Wilhelm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pesqueira City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
