In the 11th minute, Jarbas Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 minutes of play, O rey Iván's Aurelio Paio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Novaes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the game, Aurelio Paio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Abel Novaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Cayetano Sergi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Sergi in the 20th minute of play forced SOL's goalkeeper Abel Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of SOL booed when O rey Iván was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Azeari didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cayetano Sergi came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the O rey Iván fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cayetano Sergi couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, SOL's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Montrell came free, but Abel Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Aurelio Paio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Paio in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Novaes prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Abel Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Sergi in the 51st minute of the match. O rey Iván's Serafin Haitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Maranhense in the 53rd minute of play. Cayetano Sergi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Abel Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as O rey Iván's Cayetano Sergi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abel Novaes. That made the score 0-3 after 61 minutes of play. Cayetano Sergi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Abel Novaes made a huge save. Abel Novaes made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Cayetano Sergi sent off a good shot on target. Aurelio Paio kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Cássio Maranhense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Serafin Haitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle sounded O rey Iván left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SOL.
