Mikolaj Bubczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Magalhães in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Angelo Magalhães hit a great ball. After 12 minutes, Tião Diniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAO JOANENSE FC and the Faker FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SAO JOANENSE FC! 19 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bogumil Smolarek came free, but José do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogumil Smolarek hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Wieslaw Rozanski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José do Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zygmunt Bondel's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 34th minute, Pedrinho Lara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mikolaj Bubczyk. The goal made the score 2-1. Stasio Piekarczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José do Vale having to interfere. A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Angelo Magalhães hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Bondel came free, but José do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogumil Smolarek kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Zygmunt Bondel made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Bondel came free, but José do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikolaj Bubczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Vaz in the 55th minute of play. Mikolaj Bubczyk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Magalhães went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in SAO JOANENSE FC's zone, Bogumil Smolarek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José do Vale came out of the goal and Bogumil Smolarek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Wiliam Matorin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mikolaj Bubczyk was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Zygmunt Bondel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. José do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beniamin Pachucki kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 4-2 became the score in the 81st minute when Zygmunt Bondel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Wieslaw Rozanski might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José do Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wieslaw Rozanski ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Faker FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Wieslaw Rozanski hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in SAO JOANENSE FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Matorin in the 98th minute of play forced Faker FC's goalkeeper Mikolaj Bubczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SAO JOANENSE FC had won after a very even match.
