In the 7th minute Ermegildo Joey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlín Almeyda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Sergio Fernendo lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Orlín Almeyda. Severino Casomiros short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Orlín Almeyda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Raymundo Monroy hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Orlín Almeyda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ezequiel Solustiano's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. If Teodoro Estebano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes Capo de Provincia got a freekick which was hit by Victor Hugo Fermandois. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Ermegildo Joey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Islas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Joey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlín Almeyda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severino Casomiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlín Almeyda having to interfere. Ermegildo Joey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Orlín Almeyda made a huge save. A hard shot 43 in the game by Ermegildo Joey from a close distance when the talented Orlín Almeyda managed to make a qualified save. Capo de Provincia's players were relieved. Orlín Almeyda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Joey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Islas FC's Ermegildo Joey was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 48th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermegildo Joey to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermegildo Joey in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlín Almeyda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th match minute, Capo de Provincia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Arriagada to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Ermegildo Joey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orlín Almeyda was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After 64 played minutes Capo de Provincia got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Alarcón. Severino Casomiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 minutes, Ermegildo Joey made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Capo de Provincia's Orlín Almeyda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Carmelo Conrao struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Orlín Almeyda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Islas FC. Ermegildo Joey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ermegildo Joey in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlín Almeyda saved Capo de Provincia from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Casomiro in the 79th minute of play forced Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Orlín Almeyda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ermegildo Joey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlín Almeyda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uriel Alarcón during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Orlín Almeyda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermegildo Joey's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Capo de Provincia's Uriel Alarcón got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Islas FC's Ermegildo Joey broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Capo de Provincia's Romeo Arriagada got a free kick in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Islas FC had played much better football throughout.
