The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bedih Sefik came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Academica Pulheim's Barnabas Rogge. But to his dismay, Barnabas Rogge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 14th minute, Barnabas Rogge made a precise shot to the right of Bedih Sefik. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 17th minute Barnabas Rogge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bedih Sefik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Gottlieb Hagedorn. Bedih Sefik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnabas Rogge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunther Daun in the 30th minute of play forced ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's goalkeeper Bedih Sefik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Barnabas Rogge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bedih Sefik. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barnabas Rogge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. A collision led to ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Hakkı Kenan Pekiner hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Gunther Daun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bedih Sefik. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gunther Daun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Rıfat Ercan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Alvo Kobe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 43rd minute of the match ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ got a corner. Academica Pulheim's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Işık Tekcan ran over to the corner to take the kick. 46 minutes into the game, one of ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After the first half Academica Pulheim were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Barnabas Rogge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnabas Rogge in the 56th minute of play forced ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's goalkeeper Bedih Sefik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barnabas Rogge received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bedih Sefik came out and tried to block the shot, but Barnabas Rogge slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Academica Pulheim's Gunther Daun got a free kick in the 59th minute. The supporters of Academica Pulheim booed when ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orkun Zeval didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bedih Sefik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Karsten Oppmann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 65 minute of play. If Karsten Oppmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Karsten Böhmländer replaced Kilian Thomas. Alvo Kobe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İzzet Albayrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ's Tümer Rahmi got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alvo Kobe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakkı Kenan Pekiner in the 75th minute of the match. If Gunther Daun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Thomas von Puttkammer replaced Karsten Oppmann. İzzet Albayrak kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakkı Kenan Pekiner in the 83rd minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Alvo Kobe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 played minutes ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ got a freekick which was hit by İzzet Albayrak. Barnabas Rogge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Bedih Sefik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Academica Pulheim were furious when Dominik Zintl was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 95th minute, one of Academica Pulheim:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Academica Pulheim. The referee gave ᗩᔕᒪᗩᑎғᴋ a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Işık Tekcan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Academica Pulheim's Alvo Kobe. 1-7.
