After 3 played minutes Porvoon Futura got a freekick which was hit by Eerik Vähä. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Per-Erik Allbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köping's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Erik Allbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pauli Kärkkäinen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thomas Hjälm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pauli Kärkkäinen having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Porvoon Futura's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Per-Erik Allbom fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 16 minutes in the game, Thomas Hjälm fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pauli Kärkkäinen having to interfere. Thomas Hjälm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pauli Kärkkäinen having to interfere. Pauli Kärkkäinen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Hjälm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Porvoon Futura's zone, Thomas Hjälm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pauli Kärkkäinen came out of the goal and Thomas Hjälm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dick Browall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eerik Vähä, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eerik Vähä in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dick Browall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nils-Åke Arvidsson struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Pauli Kärkkäinen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Köping. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eerik Vähä made a kick off. Porvoon Futura's Pauli Kärkkäinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Hjälm in the 53rd minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Köping's Per-Erik Allbom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pauli Kärkkäinen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pauli Kärkkäinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Erik Allbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. A collision led to Porvoon Futura getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Reima Kaski hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Thomas Hjälm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pauli Kärkkäinen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Nils-Åke Arvidsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. There was no doubt that Köping were the better team. Köping's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
