Alvaro Eufrasio helped the player get up and apologised. Maximiliano Astudillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Novaes in the 13th minute of the match. Manuel Cordera took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Almir Diniz. Almir Diniz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Almir Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Canor, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, RWD Molenbeek's Francisco Perez got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Novaes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximiliano Astudillo. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldo Novaes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Francisco Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Astudillo having to interfere. Maximiliano Astudillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximiliano Astudillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Novaes in the 35th minute of play. If Fabinho Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Novaes in the 40th minute of play forced SAN MARTIN F.C.'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Francisco Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alejandro Mendebal charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejandro Mendebal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SAN MARTIN F.C. getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Alejandro Mendebal hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abelardo Roland was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Simon Canor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Canor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Maximiliano Astudillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save SAN MARTIN F.C. from getting a goal against them. When Francisco Perez came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the RWD Molenbeek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Perez couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute Ronaldo Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Astudillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauro Ordono hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Abelardo Roland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Almir Diniz. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of RWD Molenbeek booed when SAN MARTIN F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Ordono didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SAN MARTIN F.C.'s zone, Vânderson Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Astudillo came out of the goal and Vânderson Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Perez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Maximiliano Astudillo made a huge save.
