With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raphael Gilli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Víktor Sarmento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Raphael Gilli made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Tomás Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fréderic Visser came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the 1. FC Union Weberei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fréderic Visser couldn't finish the play. Rudolph Helbling kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Tomás Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Gilli having to interfere. Raphael Gilli was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Víktor Sarmento capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Víktor Sarmento really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Sarmento in the 35th minute of play forced 1. FC Union Weberei's goalkeeper Raphael Gilli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederico Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tor Jäger in the 40th minute of the match. Corinthians's Faustão Motta shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 43rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Raphael Gilli but with some difficulty. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Víktor Sarmento to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Corinthians's Gonçalo de Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raphael Gilli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Víktor Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Sarmento couldn't finish the play. Maurice Tisserand received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Frederico Gonçalves came out and tried to block the shot, but Maurice Tisserand slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 55th minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Maurice Tisserand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1. FC Union Weberei's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Tisserand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Corinthians booed when 1. FC Union Weberei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolph Helbling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Franz Kolb could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Frederico Gonçalves however easily saved by the left post. Rudolph Helbling kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Corinthians's Faustão Motta couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for 1. FC Union Weberei. Frederico Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Tisserand in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Acácio Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corinthians's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1. FC Union Weberei the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Acácio Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Corinthians booed when 1. FC Union Weberei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fréderic Visser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frederico Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurice Tisserand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for 1. FC Union Weberei! Maurice Tisserand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Frederico Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Faria. Tor Jäger struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Frederico Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1. FC Union Weberei. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
