With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardinho Vander in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marian Bălan saved FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt from getting behind. In the 17th minute Noel das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Bălan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt booed when Litoral EC - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Aron Neaga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Luiz das Neves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sílvio Luiz das Neves made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Valer Opincaru sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the match, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Mazza came free, but Marian Bălan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt got a freekick which was hit by Martin Costache. When Litoral EC - CIMZ's Ricardinho Vander in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Ricardinho Vander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ricardinho Vander hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Marian Bălan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardinho Vander's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. When Martin Costache fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's protests and gave Martin Costache a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Martin Costache got a free kick in the 35th minute. If Ricardinho Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Litoral EC - CIMZ getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Edson de Lara hit a great ball. When Aron Neaga came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aron Neaga couldn't finish the play. Marian Bălan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valer Opincaru made a kick off. Ulisses Munhoz let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 51st minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. 54 minutes into the match, Ricardinho Vander notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Marian Bălan. Marian Bălan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricardinho Vander received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marian Bălan came out and tried to block the shot, but Ricardinho Vander slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Martin Costache got a free kick in the 64th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Marian Bălan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ricardinho Vander received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marian Bălan came out and tried to block the shot, but Ricardinho Vander slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 74th minute. Marian Bălan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 85 minutes, Valer Opincaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt and the Litoral EC - CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Opincaru to maneuver through the defense. If Ricardinho Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Vander came free, but Marian Bălan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Litoral EC - CIMZ's Ricardinho Vander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marian Bălan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Litoral EC - CIMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
