After having played for 39 minutes, Manole Firu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc S.Zaharesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manole Firu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eulalio Senen kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mădălin Vintilescu in the 45th minute of play forced Celtic FC's goalkeeper Robustiano Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Fc S.Zaharesti getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Nae Scripcaru hit a great ball. If Dan Potoroacă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celtic FC's Robustiano Eyague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mădălin Vintilescu in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Celtic FC's zone, Dan Potoroacă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robustiano Eyague came out of the goal and Dan Potoroacă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robustiano Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marius Encioiu in the 69th minute of the match. Robustiano Eyague made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Mădălin Vintilescu sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goalkeeper Robustiano Eyague had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mădălin Vintilescu. When Erubiel Herrera fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celtic FC's protests and gave Erubiel Herrera a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mădălin Vintilescu got free with Robustiano Eyague in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Celtic FC defense, Manole Firu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robustiano Eyague. The Celtic FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robustiano Eyague should have stopped the shot. Robustiano Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marius Encioiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Manole Firu came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Fc S.Zaharesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manole Firu couldn't finish the play. The Celtic FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fc S.Zaharesti were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
