But to his dismay, Sten Lund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Sten Lund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but I Gusti Saputra made a huge save. When Staffan Apelkvist fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Söderhall's protests and gave Staffan Apelkvist a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Söderhall got a freekick which was hit by Staffan Apelkvist. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Söderhall's Alf Gudmundsson was substituted for Bengt Lenberg. The wind increased when Ramang Fatary made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Söderhall defense, Ramang Fatary kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Göran Hellqvist. The Söderhall fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Göran Hellqvist should have stopped the shot. Jakarta Wolf SC's I Gusti Saputra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Algot Tingberg in the 81st minute of play.
