Andreas Grönberg kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Leon Lizbeth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calle Askberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 minutes Valencia Santa Fe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bengt Lenberg who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Söderhall's corner Bengt Lenberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leon Lizbeth quite easily take care of the ball. Leon Lizbeth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Lund, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Calle Askberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Bengt Lenberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Söderhall fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Leon Lizbeth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Algot Tingberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Söderhall made a substitution. Alf Gudmundsson replaced Bengt Lenberg. Leon Lizbeth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Askberg in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Efrain Fidensio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Sten Lund took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Leon Lizbeth to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Söderhall eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
