The crowd rose to their feet as Winthont FC's Niels Schirring slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iker Vasco. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. A collision led to Academia FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Marcelino Batista hit a great ball. Edgard de Freitas's shot from long distance in the 12th minute was not bad at all, but Academia FC's Iker Vasco knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Lucas Uebels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Rivero in the 13th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Jorge Martxot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Lucas Uebels was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Sipke Oosting ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iker Vasco was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Sipke Oosting struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Iker Vasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Winthont FC. After a rather tough play, Academia FC's Atilano Sugoi got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Sipke Oosting dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iker Vasco, 5-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sipke Oosting was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Sipke Oosting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Vasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sipke Oosting received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Iker Vasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iker Vasco didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Winthont FC's Sipke Oosting shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After 73 played minutes, Academia FC's Anibal Ugutz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucas Uebels came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Academia FC reached it. Iker Vasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sipke Oosting in the 76th minute of the match. When Floris Talsma came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Winthont FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Floris Talsma couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sipke Oosting in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iker Vasco saved Academia FC from getting behind. In the 80th minute, Ronny Hendriks left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Winthont FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-2. Iker Vasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Hendriks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sipke Oosting came free, but Iker Vasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
