In the 8th minute, Ivan Burileanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremias Cucao was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Unicorns ™ booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Esiquio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Isac Drâmba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Gonzales. Marlin FC's Jeremias Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petrică Ţirpescu in the 17th minute of play. Jeremias Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petrică Ţirpescu in the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th play minute Casimiro Gonzales came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Isac Drâmba. 1-2. Jeremias Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Burileanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Petrică Ţirpescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isac Drâmba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Guillem in the 36th minute of play. Isac Drâmba made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Casimiro Gonzales sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Unicorns ™ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Casimiro Gonzales was the one to do the kick off. Isac Drâmba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Guillem in the 52nd minute of play. Isac Drâmba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anier Sazon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, Casimiro Gonzales was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marlin FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unicorns ™ the free kick. The supporters of Unicorns ™ booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Gonzales didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Petrică Ţirpescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeremias Cucao skillfully saved the ball. In the 65th minute, Octavian Chivu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremias Cucao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Negruț, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrică Ţirpescu in the 71st minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Jeremias Cucao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Unicorns ™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Negruț to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Unicorns ™'s Dan Berca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jeremias Cucao. Jeremias Cucao yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Anier Sazon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Isac Drâmba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florentino Esiquio took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isac Drâmba. Isac Drâmba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 86th match minute, Unicorns ™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Burileanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Unicorns ™'s Ştefan Vâtcă seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ştefan Vâtcă the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Unicorns ™ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ştefan Vâtcă had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Unicorns ™ getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ştefan Vâtcă hit a great ball. The Unicorns ™ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
