The audience was convinced that Casimiro Galindo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ergys Durollari was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 41st minute, Casimiro Galindo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting de Gijón fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Nikolin Sukaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 46 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Tonin Hasa came free, but Ariel Urbasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th match minute, Eagle FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tonin Hasa to maneuver through the defense. Sporting de Gijón's Marcial Benvido was substituted for Rosendo Orixe. After a rather tough play, Eagle FC's Tonin Hasa got a free kick in the 49th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tonin Hasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Nikolin Sukaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ariel Urbasa came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Eagle FC's Tonin Hasa. But to his dismay, Tonin Hasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.
