Gzpn Timisoara were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Granate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emil Angheloiu took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Flores in the 23rd minute of play forced Gzpn Timisoara's goalkeeper Ştefan Buzilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Granate booed when Gzpn Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petrică Zdroană didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ştefan Buzilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Flores, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toader Baltian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Toader Baltian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agustin Abastas. Granate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toader Baltian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 74 played minutes Gzpn Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Milcu. When Erubiel Maraman fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Granate's protests and gave Erubiel Maraman a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Granate's Erubiel Maraman got a free kick in the 87th minute.
