Ştefan Buzilă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Favoretto in the 10th minute of play. Ştefan Buzilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Virgílio Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ştefan Buzilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costel Postelnicu's late challenge caught a Werneck FC - DMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costel Postelnicu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Gzpn Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costel Postelnicu to maneuver through the defense. Ruy Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Werneck FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Fernandez got control of the ball when Toader Baltian tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ştefan Buzilă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Loyola's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toader Baltian in the 27th minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Favoretto scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ştefan Buzilă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Werneck FC - DMZ's zone, Mihăiţă Prunaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Fernandez came out of the goal and Mihăiţă Prunaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Werneck FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Oséas Urbano hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Werneck FC - DMZ's Romário Braga seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Romário Braga the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Werneck FC - DMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Romário Braga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Werneck FC - DMZ! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 56 minutes, Petrică Zdroană mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gzpn Timisoara and the Werneck FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes Gzpn Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Petrică Zdroană. A collision led to Gzpn Timisoara getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Emil Angheloiu hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Gzpn Timisoara defense, Virgílio Toledo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ştefan Buzilă. The Gzpn Timisoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ştefan Buzilă should have stopped the shot. Zé Paulo Fernandez came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Gzpn Timisoara's Costel Postelnicu. But to his dismay, Costel Postelnicu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toader Baltian in the 75th minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th match minute, Gzpn Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toader Baltian to maneuver through the defense. Ştefan Buzilă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Loyola in the 81st minute. Rafael Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ştefan Buzilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Werneck FC - DMZ booed when Gzpn Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petrică Zdroană didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cătălin Mihuț hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Rafael Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ştefan Buzilă having to interfere. The Werneck FC - DMZ players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Gzpn Timisoara from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
