Stig Palmquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgar Jupân's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Melker Låsberg hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Petrică Vorniceanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Erik Sjöman in the 37th minute. In the 38th match minute, Gyepüpataka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rareș Cosoreanu to maneuver through the defense. Stig Palmquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgar Jupân's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Erik Sjöman made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Erik Sjöman in the 52nd minute of play forced Gyepüpataka's goalkeeper Petrică Vorniceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Överås BK's Stig Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Lăzan in the 58th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Cristinel Elisei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Överås BK's zone, Tudor Lăzan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stig Palmquist came out of the goal and Tudor Lăzan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Stig Palmquist managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Gyepüpataka's Edgar Jupân fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 74 played minutes Gyepüpataka got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Anisie. Petrică Vorniceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Strömberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes of play, Överås BK's Sven-Erik Sjöman made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petrică Vorniceanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The long shot by Denis Pășcuțoiu in the 85th minute really tested Stig Palmquist's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Edgar Jupân in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stig Palmquist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
