Freddy Dolfos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 6 minutes into the game, Benjamin Norton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Freddy Dolfos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Freddy Dolfos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Norton in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, C.A. LANUS's goal looked a bit too open when Geoff Hahn came free, but Freddy Dolfos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the C.A. LANUS defense, Garth Cao Xiao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddy Dolfos. The C.A. LANUS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddy Dolfos should have stopped the shot. 17 minutes into the match, C.A. LANUS's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Norton came free, but Freddy Dolfos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Bradley Cody cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Freddy Dolfos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to C.A. LANUS getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Virgilio Duarte hit a great ball. When Garth Cao Xiao came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the River tu grato nombre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garth Cao Xiao couldn't finish the play. The supporters of C.A. LANUS booed when River tu grato nombre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eli Cermak didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Norton in the 35th minute of play forced C.A. LANUS's goalkeeper Freddy Dolfos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradley Cody recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Garth Cao Xiao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, C.A. LANUS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Amato to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Genaro Francho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. C.A. LANUS's Freddy Dolfos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoff Hahn in the 54th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Garth Cao Xiao rounded C.A. LANUS's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-6. When Kraig Rasmussen came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the River tu grato nombre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kraig Rasmussen couldn't finish the play. Jayson Burnett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Afonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Freddy Dolfos was a little too slow when Benjamin Norton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-7. With a little luck, C.A. LANUS's Freddy Dolfos got control of the ball when Bradley Cody tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 77 played minutes River tu grato nombre got a freekick which was hit by Connor Rose. Virgilio Duarte's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Jayson Burnett on his right side and into the goal. 77 minutes into the game it was 1-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoff Hahn in the 83rd minute of play forced C.A. LANUS's goalkeeper Freddy Dolfos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garth Cao Xiao in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddy Dolfos saved C.A. LANUS from getting behind. When Garth Cao Xiao came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the River tu grato nombre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garth Cao Xiao couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Genaro Francho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over River tu grato nombre could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C.A. LANUS throughout the match.
