In the 7th minute, Harrison Muntwyler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Fliz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenan Vinciguerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hipolito Lixandro fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sotelo AFC's protests and gave Hipolito Lixandro a yellow card for diving instead. 22 minutes into the match, Sotelo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Philipp Junod came free, but Donato Fliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Harrison Muntwyler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Efrain Llope hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Odol kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Donato Fliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Pasquino in the 29th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Sotelo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Llope. Donato Fliz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freeman Mächler, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. A collision led to Sotelo AFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Cecilio Joanes hit a great ball. Donato Fliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harrison Muntwyler in the 47th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Philipp Junod notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sotelo AFC's Donato Fliz. Donato Fliz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Philipp Junod was the one to do the kick off. Donato Fliz was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Harrison Muntwyler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Harrison Muntwyler really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Cecilio Joanes kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Espen Steelers's Freeman Mächler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donato Fliz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Espen Steelers's Kenan Vinciguerra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donato Fliz. That made the score 0-4 after 64 minutes of play. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Geordi Gerig replaced Philipp Junod. A collision led to Sotelo AFC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Fabian Sanson hit a great ball. Kenan Vinciguerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Donato Fliz made a huge save. In the 82nd minute Freeman Mächler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Fliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Espen Steelers booed when Sotelo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Sesuldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Freeman Mächler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freeman Mächler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Donato Fliz made a huge save. In the 86th minute Geordi Gerig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Fliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Fliz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Freeman Mächler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 87 minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Joanes came free, but Andre Zurbuchen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Espen Steelers booed when Sotelo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Frichoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute, Freeman Mächler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donato Fliz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. When the final whistle sounded Espen Steelers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sotelo AFC.
