The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Med Gang FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Kjell Zachrisson hit a great ball. Kjell Zachrisson kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Torgny Sjögren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ekelund. Torgny Sjögren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Jonathan Ekelund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torgny Sjögren in the 14th minute of play. Ragnar Björk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ekelund made a huge save. 30 minutes into the match, Med Gang FC's goalkeeper Jonathan Ekelund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ragnar Björk. 33 minutes into the game, Kjell-Arne Svensson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Med Gang FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glentown FC the free kick. In the 33rd minute, Kjell-Arne Svensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Ivar Alströmmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jarl Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sakarias Finnman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Glentown FC's Gösta Beckström got a free kick in the 55th minute. Jonathan Ekelund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ragnar Björk went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Med Gang FC's Jonathan Ekelund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torgny Sjögren in the 60th minute of play. Jonathan Ekelund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragnar Björk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ekelund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Torgny Sjögren went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Med Gang FC's Jonathan Ekelund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Björk in the 68th minute of play. If Eric Lundqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivar Alströmmer hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ekelund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarl Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Med Gang FC's goal looked a bit too open when Torgny Sjögren came free, but Jonathan Ekelund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Torgny Sjögren notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Med Gang FC's Jonathan Ekelund. Jonathan Ekelund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ekelund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarl Nilsson in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to Glentown FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Bernt Söderberg hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Per-Åke Rönn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jonathan Ekelund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torgny Sjögren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Glentown FC were the better team. Glentown FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
