The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to G.D Vitória de Sernache getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Manuel Morais hit a great ball. Caspar Dronia kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Moritz Weidt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 15th match minute, G.D Vitória de Sernache was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Morais to maneuver through the defense. Klaus-Dieter Stötzer's late challenge caught a G.D Vitória de Sernache's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaus-Dieter Stötzer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Give Peace a Chance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaus-Dieter Stötzer to maneuver through the defense. When Pedro Bentes fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The Give Peace a Chance fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Give Peace a Chance's goal looked a bit too open when Veríssimo Velasques came free, but Moritz Weidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Give Peace a Chance getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jeff Vander hit a great ball. Jerónimo Ornelas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hansjörg Daniel in the 35th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, G.D Vitória de Sernache was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Macedo to maneuver through the defense. Jerónimo Ornelas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaus-Dieter Stötzer in the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, Give Peace a Chance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Russ to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klaus-Dieter Stötzer to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, G.D Vitória de Sernache's Jerónimo Ornelas got control of the ball when Klaus-Dieter Stötzer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jerónimo Ornelas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Klaus-Dieter Stötzer in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the game, Klaus-Dieter Stötzer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Jerónimo Ornelas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Klaus-Dieter Stötzer struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Jerónimo Ornelas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Give Peace a Chance. Jerónimo Ornelas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewin Nolte in the 84th minute of play. Artur Macedo charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Macedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. André Valverde kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Friedrich Hester recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jerónimo Ornelas. Friedrich Hester showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. 98 minutes into the match, G.D Vitória de Sernache's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus-Dieter Stötzer came free, but Jerónimo Ornelas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Give Peace a Chance played a much better game than G.D Vitória de Sernache and deserved their victory. The G.D Vitória de Sernache players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
