An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepijn Veen in the 12th minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Matthew Edwards to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Flashdynamica's Pepijn Veen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matthew Edwards made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Flashdynamica's Brain de Mol in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético de Newell's goalie prevented a goal. Pepijn Veen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Edwards having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goal looked a bit too open when Pepijn Veen came free, but Matthew Edwards reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinhard Boezeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Matthew Edwards tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Club Atlético de Newell getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Philip Bakewell hit a great ball. After 40 minutes of play, Club Atlético de Newell's Seb Newman made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kelvin van Kempen was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute Pepijn Veen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Edwards saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthew Edwards made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brain de Mol in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético de Newell's Brendon Swanson got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half Flashdynamica were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Kelvin van Kempen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jay Holmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 52 played minutes Flashdynamica got a freekick which was hit by Victor Tevreden. Jerome Groom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pepijn Veens short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Matthew Edwards to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepijn Veen in the 65th minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Matthew Edwards to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jerome Groom came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Club Atlético de Newell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerome Groom couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the game, Seb Newman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético de Newell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flashdynamica the free kick. Club Atlético de Newell's Matthew Edwards proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético de Newell from getting a goal against them. Pepijn Veen in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matthew Edwards, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brendon Swanson during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brendon Swanson hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Club Atlético de Newell's attentive Barrie Lester managed to snatch the ball when Thijs Ijspol made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. A collision led to Flashdynamica getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Allard Engbers hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthijs Huizen got free with Matthew Edwards in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Flashdynamica had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
