Candido Millan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 龙钢超 in the 15th minute of the match. 龙钢超 struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Candido Millan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cylon. The tension between the Palermo and the Cylon players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Candido Millan should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 傅志骏 during the 33rd minute. The supporters of Palermo booed when Cylon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. 傅志骏 didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Leonides Elizardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Donato Kelemen in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cylon's 尹桑文. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 尹桑文 during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, 尹桑文 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Fernendo in the 42nd minute of play forced Cylon's goalkeeper 龙枫博 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 龙钢超 in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candido Millan saved Palermo from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 姚广邦 was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Palermo's goalkeeper Candido Millan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 龙钢超. 龙钢超 did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Candido Millan 59 minutes into the match. 姚广邦 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Candido Millan made a huge save. Cylon made a substitution. 陆鸿霖 replaced 姚广邦. After 65 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Urtungo. 67 minutes into the match, 陆鸿霖 notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Palermo's Candido Millan. Candido Millan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Candido Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 龙钢超 in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Anibal Fernendo got a free kick in the 90th minute. Candido Millan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 龙钢超, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
