Elias Haritz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. In the 2nd minute, one of CanarioMza:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CanarioMza. In the 4th minute there was a penalty for Santhiagos Feli Club. Anier Celio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Silvano Perico. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Santhiagos Feli Club's Robustiano Mogel got a free kick in the 7th minute. Santhiagos Feli Club's Enrique Burutzagi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Sindo in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, CanarioMza's Benjamin Sindo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 18th minute, Severo Cresenciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Toro during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to CanarioMza getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Adolfo Toro hit a great ball. After 31 minutes, Carolo Ipar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CanarioMza and the Santhiagos Feli Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, CanarioMza's Carolo Ipar got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Emiliano Hanot came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Santhiagos Feli Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Hanot couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, CanarioMza's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Celio came free, but Silvano Perico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Guaberto Berbiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santhiagos Feli Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CanarioMza the free kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benjamin Sindo was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Alejandro Pereyra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvano Perico was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. A collision led to CanarioMza getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Roque Salvatore hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Alejandro Pereyra put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Silvano Perico. After a rather tough play, CanarioMza's Benjamin Sindo got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 75th minute, Andres Orlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anier Celio hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Prudencio Iztal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alejandro Pereyra struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Silvano Perico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santhiagos Feli Club. Santhiagos Feli Club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
