If Silas de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. JURIDIQUES F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silas de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th match minute, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademir Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of JURIDIQUES F.C booed when Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JURIDIQUES F.C the free kick. In the 62nd minute Silas de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ. The referee gave JURIDIQUES F.C a penalty, 68 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cristiano Romário, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's Nelson Rocha. 2-3. If Cristiano Romário had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th play minute Hélder de Barros came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Percy Palmeira. 2-4. Silas de Salles might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nelson Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silas de Salles ran back to his position shaking his head. Hélder de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute.
