Délio Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romo Viqueira in the 22nd minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Jataiense Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Bergada came free, but Délio Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Dino Favoretto had to leave the field with a concussion. Nuno Aranzubia hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. A collision led to Nueva Adalucia getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Unax Domenech hit a great ball. Loren Valerón was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edmundo Castro. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Loren Valerón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wellington Moura in the 69th minute of the match. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Délio Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Aranzubia in the 74th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Ricardo Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Desiderio Lozano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cláudio Torres's late challenge caught a Nueva Adalucia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cláudio Torres helped the player get up and apologised. Cláudio Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Alvarenga in the 91st minute of play forced Nueva Adalucia's goalkeeper Loren Valerón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th match minute, Nueva Adalucia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Aranzubia to maneuver through the defense. Many of Nueva Adalucia's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Nueva Adalucia may have spent more time on the ball, but Jataiense Futebol Clube were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
