The referee ignored Utopía Muerta FC's protests and gave Placido Abaunza a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Utopía Muerta FC's Placido Abaunza got a free kick in the 15th minute. A collision led to Utopía Muerta FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Cayetano Ponc hit a great ball. Gigel Mateescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. In the 44th minute Narciso Fix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Mateescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigel Mateescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Lluciano in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Utopía Muerta FC's Aurelio Mederi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionuț Alucai in the 91st minute of play. Utopía Muerta FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
