Silvano Ongile received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Mattias Asserlind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sten Norberg in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delmar Quintin saved Deportivo Mandiyu from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Mandiyu's Alejandro Mancuso got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 25th minute, Marcelo Barrionuevo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delmar Quintin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casper Lindqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Casper Lindqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Quintin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delmar Quintin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Norberg in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Kingpins's Nicklas Flinck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Delmar Quintin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 40 minutes, Robert Grönlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingpins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Grönlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mattias Asserlind made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laureano Eladio in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Deportivo Mandiyu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kingpins the free kick. Bo-Erik Lång kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kingpins walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
