After a rather tough play, FC Blueskatterna's Herbert Lundin got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Åke Offendahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Roger Glanselius kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Healey Harkin. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Christian Drewitz came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by 1948 MKS's Eoghan Barrett. But to his dismay, Eoghan Barrett quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 20 played minutes 1948 MKS got a freekick which was hit by Theobald Tierney. Christian Drewitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eoghan Barrett in the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sigvard Björk got free with Healey Harkin in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Healey Harkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sigvard Björk. Bowie Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Eoghan Barrett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Drewitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geary Delaney hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute, Eoghan Barrett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Drewitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eoghan Barrett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, 1948 MKS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theobald Tierney to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvard Björk in the 59th minute of play forced 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Healey Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brasil Deery hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, 1948 MKS's Christian Drewitz threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eoghan Barrett, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bowie Scully blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Drewitz having to make a save. Brain McBjarton hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Blueskatterna booed when 1948 MKS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Becc McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, 1948 MKS's Birr Lester got a free kick in the 85th minute. Becc McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1948 MKS's Healey Harkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigvard Björk in the 95th minute of play. Bowie Scully received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Christian Drewitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1948 MKS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
