But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Nerio couldn't finish the play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 8th minute, but Gustavo Galindo got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Candelaria FC hanging dry this time. With his leg Gustavo Galindo managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Descamisados CF's Cipriano Arixo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 12th minute, Gavino Isauro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Descamisados CF booed when Candelaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Galindo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cipriano Arixo in the 17th minute. Candelaria FC's Roman Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelito Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Barros in the 21st minute of the match. Ruben Iturri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Gustavo Galindo made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Descamisados CF's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Peli came free, but Marcelito Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Isauro in the 26th minute of play forced Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Galindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Arixo took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Galindo. Gustavo Galindo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Freddy Nerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Galindo having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Descamisados CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Arixo to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Gavino Isauro notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Candelaria FC's Gustavo Galindo. Gustavo Galindo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 45 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Galindo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cipriano Arixo. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cipriano Arixo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Descamisados CF's Cipriano Arixo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Galindo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gustavo Galindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Nerio in the 56th minute of play. After some careless play in the Candelaria FC defense, Cipriano Arixo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Galindo. The Candelaria FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Galindo should have stopped the shot. Mauricio Isaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gustavo Galindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Candelaria FC's Laureano Estebe got a free kick in the 65th minute. Candelaria FC's Gustavo Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Lucado in the 66th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Marcos Ellande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 69 minutes, Florencio Rivero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Descamisados CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Rivero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Descamisados CF's Fausto Virila got a free kick in the 72nd minute. When Descamisados CF's Jacinto Lucado in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Candelaria FC's goalie prevented a goal. Candelaria FC's Gustavo Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Arixo in the 78th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Candelaria FC got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Bemabe. 83 minutes into the game, Descamisados CF's Cipriano Arixo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustavo Galindo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. A collision led to Candelaria FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Roman Barros hit a great ball. Freddy Nerio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Jacinto Lucado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustavo Galindo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. There was no doubt that Descamisados CF were the better team. Descamisados CF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
