After a defensive mix-up in Ríver Late's zone, Genaro Raymundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isauro Contero came out of the goal and Genaro Raymundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoriano Columbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Isauro Contero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 played minutes Beltrán City FC got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Bernard. The supporters of Beltrán City FC booed when Ríver Late was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gero Arenzana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victoriano Columbo, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ariando Oca's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fulgencio Ruisko firmly grabbed it by the left post. Beti Jene fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Ruisko having to interfere. In the 25th minute Genaro Raymundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isauro Contero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ríver Late's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Victoriano Columbo was slow to take the kick. During this time Beltrán City FC's players had a chance to rest. 27 minutes into the game, Ríver Late's Beti Jene nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fulgencio Ruisko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ariando Oca got free with Fulgencio Ruisko in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fulgencio Ruisko made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Bizen Villafuentes sent off a good shot on target. After 34 minutes Beltrán City FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chesus Jusino who took care of the corner kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chesus Jusino during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 36 played minutes Ríver Late got a freekick which was hit by Chesus Jusino. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Beltrán City FC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Ruisko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ariando Oca got free with Fulgencio Ruisko in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Beltrán City FC's Arnulfo Clis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Balesio Carriles, made in the 45th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Genaro Raymundo made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Ariando Oca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ríver Late and the Beltrán City FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ríver Late getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Ariando Oca hit a great ball. The supporters of Ríver Late booed when Beltrán City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliberto Bernard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute Beti Jene shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Ruisko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ríver Late made a substitution. Lorenzo Tordesillas replaced Urtsin Duran. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ariando Oca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ríver Late's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariando Oca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Ruisko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the match, Andres Feloaga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fulgencio Ruisko. Beltrán City FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andres Feloaga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Ariando Oca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Fulgencio Ruisko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Victoriano Columbo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ríver Late's Gero Arenzana got a free kick in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beti Jene in the 82nd minute of play forced Beltrán City FC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Ruisko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Tordesillas charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lorenzo Tordesillas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
