Nilton Sanches started the match with the kick off. In the 10th minute, America Futebol Clube SP's Durvalino Prata seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Durvalino Prata the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of America Futebol Clube SP protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Durvalino Prata had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in America Futebol Clube SP fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! America Futebol Clube SP:s Zé Pedro de Queirós showed great skill when he stopped Esteban Llanos:s penalty. Celedonio Incendio didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 17th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Dorian Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th match minute, POSSE 1911 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Elazar to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Nilton Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. America Futebol Clube SP's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilton Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celedonio Incendio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Dorian Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in POSSE 1911 FC's zone, Rafael Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celedonio Incendio came out of the goal and Rafael Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Torres to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Siqueira in the 55th minute of play forced POSSE 1911 FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Incendio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. POSSE 1911 FC's Celedonio Incendio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Siqueira in the 56th minute of play. Celedonio Incendio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês Vides in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Dorian Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juarês Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Incendio having to interfere. After 64 played minutes POSSE 1911 FC got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Aurken. Celedonio Incendio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês Vides in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Omar Elazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Celedonio Incendio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Rafael Melo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celedonio Incendio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Dorian Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 83 minutes, Saverio Mederi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the POSSE 1911 FC and the America Futebol Clube SP players grew even worse after the yellow card. Saverio Mederi hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The supporters of America Futebol Clube SP booed when POSSE 1911 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Odilon didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to POSSE 1911 FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Saverio Mederi hit a great ball. A collision led to POSSE 1911 FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Francisco Torres hit a great ball. Celedonio Incendio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilton Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind POSSE 1911 FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Incendio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. America Futebol Clube SP's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
