The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Del Cleveland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Cesare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alistair Leslie in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristoforo Cesare saved Borgo Doria F.C. from getting behind. Del Cleveland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Cristoforo Cesare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Donato Franceschelli fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borgo Doria F.C.'s protests and gave Donato Franceschelli a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Borgo Doria F.C.'s Donato Franceschelli got a free kick in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alistair Leslie in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristoforo Cesare saved Borgo Doria F.C. from getting behind. Alessio Di Maio kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 20 minutes, Antony Buddle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Khachatryan and the Borgo Doria F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Khachatryan getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Antony Buddle hit a great ball. Antonello Burgnich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Javier Burroughs made a huge save. In the 27th minute Del Cleveland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Cesare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alistair Leslie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristoforo Cesare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Del Cleveland, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Khachatryan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Borgo Doria F.C.:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Borgo Doria F.C.'s zone, Alistair Leslie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristoforo Cesare came out of the goal and Alistair Leslie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alessio Di Maio kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes Khachatryan got a freekick which was hit by Daron Thorne. The supporters of Khachatryan booed when Borgo Doria F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Ianni didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The audience was convinced that Alistair Leslie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristoforo Cesare was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Alistair Leslie in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristoforo Cesare, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Del Cleveland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Alistair Leslie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alistair Leslie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristoforo Cesare read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Antonello Burgnich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Khachatryan's Daron Thorne got a free kick in the 79th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonello Burgnich in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Burroughs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alistair Leslies short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Cristoforo Cesare to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Khachatryan booed when Borgo Doria F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Di Maio didn't get a good kick on the ball.
