If Peter Degiorgio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Degiorgio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Montxo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Ereinotz during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Miguel Ereinotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Mark Montebello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gervasio Montxo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mark Montebello in the 30th minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Bernabe Tallia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Golosos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernabe Tallia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute Bernabe Tallia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dylan Pizzuto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Grech Cumbo charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Grech Cumbo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Grech Cumbo to maneuver through the defense. Gervasio Montxo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Degiorgio in the 51st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Mark Montebello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Templars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Montebello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervasio Montxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Los Golosos getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Francisco Johans hit a great ball. Gervasio Montxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Montebello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Grech Cumbo in the 57th minute of play forced Los Golosos's goalkeeper Gervasio Montxo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Templars FC booed when Los Golosos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Dacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Colin Cassola sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gervasio Montxo skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Degiorgio in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gervasio Montxo saved Los Golosos from getting behind. Mark Montebello took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gervasio Montxo. Gervasio Montxo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gervasio Montxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Montebello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gervasio Montxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Montebello, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Templars FC's Alexander Grech Cumbo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervasio Loreto got free with Dylan Pizzuto in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 81 minutes into the match, Mark Montebello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gervasio Montxo.
