The referee ignored Cardiff City FC's protests and gave Aquiles Gelacio a yellow card for diving instead. Aquiles Gelacio kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cardiff City FC's Martin Licerio got a free kick in the 8th minute. A hard shot by Mark Cuschieri from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Filomeno Rencio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Filomeno Rencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Rolè, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 13 played minutes Templars FC got a freekick which was hit by Adam Aquilina. Dylan Pizzuto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Blai in the 14th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Templars FC's Filomeno Rencio threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mark Montebello, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Templars FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mark Cuschieri hit a great ball. Aquiles Gelacio kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Mark Montebello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filomeno Rencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Rolè in the 29th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Filomeno Rencio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute Mark Montebello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Rencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Degiorgios short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Filomeno Rencio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mark Cuschieri kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Martin Licerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dylan Pizzuto having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mark Montebello to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Mark Montebello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filomeno Rencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Montebello, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Efrain Mark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luigi Abela Medici to maneuver through the defense. Dylan Pizzuto acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Oscar Blai. Filomeno Rencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Montebello, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Templars FC's goalkeeper Dylan Pizzuto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Filomeno Rencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Montebello in the 84th minute of play. Aquiles Gelacio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes Cardiff City FC got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Gelacio.
