In the 25th minute of the match Rabun 盛世 sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivor Beck skillfully saved the ball. In the 27th minute 董笑城 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivor Beck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, 吴强竞 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a left leg Ivor Beck saved FC Basel from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrian Routledge to make the kick off. 雷升常 did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Ivor Beck 54 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 雷升常 in the 57th managed to get into a good position. Ivor Beck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 董笑城 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, 雷升常 fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by 雷升常 in the 75th minute of play forced FC Basel's goalkeeper Ivor Beck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivor Beck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 雷升常's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 93 minutes into the match, FC Basel's goal looked a bit too open when 雷升常 came free, but Ivor Beck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Ivor Beck successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
