The supporters of RED BLUE STAR booed when San Pablo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Bermudo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, San Pablo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Pânzariu came free, but Eugenio Checa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Hidiș in the 19th minute of play forced San Pablo FC's goalkeeper Eugenio Checa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Mugur Hidiș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugenio Checa was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Emanuel Purcaru made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Timoteo Perfecto sent off a good shot on target. After 34 minutes RED BLUE STAR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Esteve Aballe who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Esteve Aballe got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emanuel Purcaru quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 35 played minutes RED BLUE STAR got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Pânzariu. Eugenio Checa came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by RED BLUE STAR's Mugur Hidiș. But to his dismay, Mugur Hidiș quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victoriano Feo to make the kick off. Timoteo Perfecto might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuel Purcaru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timoteo Perfecto ran back to his position shaking his head. Codruț Grozăvescu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute of the match, Mugur Hidiș got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eugenio Checa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Eugen Pânzariu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Checa having to interfere. Eugenio Checa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Pânzariu in the 65th minute of the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Mugur Hidiș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Pablo FC's Eugenio Checa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, San Pablo FC's Conrado Bermudo got a free kick in the 68th minute. Mugur Hidiș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Eugenio Checa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, San Pablo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Aznaro to maneuver through the defense. Victoriano Feo charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victoriano Feo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mugur Hidiș scored 0-4 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugenio Checa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eugenio Checa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugen Pânzariu's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Feo in the 95th minute of play forced RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper Emanuel Purcaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Feo came free, but Emanuel Purcaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RED BLUE STAR's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
