Eugenio Checa was a little too slow when Rareș Ficsinescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 9 played minutes FC Steaua Pildesti got a freekick which was hit by Gică Şuţu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Buș in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugenio Checa saved San Pablo FC from getting behind. In the 12th match minute, San Pablo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Martxot to maneuver through the defense. Octav Mergea did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Eugenio Checa 15 minutes into the match. The supporters of San Pablo FC booed when FC Steaua Pildesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octav Mergea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Steaua Pildesti's Octav Mergea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eugenio Checa. That made the score 3-0 after 33 minutes of play. After 36 minutes of play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Octav Mergea made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Checa was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Octav Mergea came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the FC Steaua Pildesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octav Mergea couldn't finish the play. When FC Steaua Pildesti's Octav Mergea in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Pablo FC's goalie prevented a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Octav Mergea to make the kick off. Eugenio Checa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Mergea in the 65th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Rareș Ficsinescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Steaua Pildesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Pablo FC the free kick. Eugenio Checa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Buș, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Eugenio Checa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Buș in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to San Pablo FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Rosendo Aznaro hit a great ball. If Rareș Ficsinescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoriano Feo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Dinu Bălașa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteve Aballe struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Dinu Bălașa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Pablo FC.
