After 7 played minutes RED BLUE STAR got a freekick which was hit by Victor Răcănel. When Nichifor Ciocârlan fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RED BLUE STAR's protests and gave Nichifor Ciocârlan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Nichifor Ciocârlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kroton F.C.'s Dave Lemma got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Codruț Grozăvescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Armando Grande however easily saved by the left post. Dave Lemma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Purcaru having to interfere. Octav Ciocan's late challenge caught a Kroton F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octav Ciocan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, RED BLUE STAR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octav Ciocan to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to RED BLUE STAR getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Victor Răcănel hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's goal looked a bit too open when Ciccio Ruggieri came free, but Emanuel Purcaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of RED BLUE STAR booed when Kroton F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciccio Ruggieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Răcănel in the 33rd minute of play forced Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Armando Grande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kroton F.C.'s Armando Grande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Kroton F.C. from getting a goal against them.

Armando Grande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Răcănel in the 52nd minute of play. Armando Grande came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by RED BLUE STAR's Victor Răcănel. But to his dismay, Victor Răcănel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When RED BLUE STAR's Mugur Hidiș in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kroton F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Codruț Grozăvescu charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Codruț Grozăvescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd match minute, RED BLUE STAR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codruț Grozăvescu to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s Ciccio Ruggieri broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dave Lemma during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dave Lemma hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Mugur Hidiș ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Grande was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Armando Grande, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emanuel Purcaru made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Dave Lemma sent off a good shot on target. Armando Grande came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by RED BLUE STAR's Mugur Hidiș. But to his dismay, Mugur Hidiș quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Kroton F.C. getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Dave Lemma hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Lemma in the 85th minute of play forced RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper Emanuel Purcaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nichifor Ciocârlan hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Carmine Ramoser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Purcaru having to interfere. In the 89th minute, RED BLUE STAR's Nichifor Ciocârlan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nichifor Ciocârlan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of RED BLUE STAR protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nichifor Ciocârlan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Victor Răcănel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Grande having to interfere. Armando Grande stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Codruț Grozăvescu's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. In the 99th minute of the match RED BLUE STAR got a corner. Kroton F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Victor Răcănel ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Kroton F.C. getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Dave Lemma hit a great ball. Victor Răcănel struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Armando Grande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RED BLUE STAR. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The RED BLUE STAR fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kroton F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
