The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 9 played minutes Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Wincent Sakowicz. 10 minutes into the game, Família Ressaca MZ's Raul Gonçalves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teobald Winszman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Décio Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teobald Winszman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After 18 minutes Underdogs's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Simão Koehler who took care of the corner kick. Família Ressaca MZ's Juninho Urbano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teobald Winszman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The attack was good, but when Elói Neiva in the 18th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Cyryl Piekarczyk hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Teobald Winszman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zbigniew Ochabski during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Teobald Winszman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Piotr Zbikowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Underdogs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Piotr Zbikowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wincent Sakowicz took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lauro Mattos. Lauro Mattos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Teobald Winszman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elói Neiva went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After the first half Família Ressaca MZ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Raul Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Família Ressaca MZ's Raul Gonçalves dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. The supporters of Underdogs booed when Família Ressaca MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wincent Sakowicz struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Lauro Mattos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Underdogs. Jano Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Teobald Winszman made a huge save. After 67 played minutes Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Piotr Zbikowski. Teobald Winszman came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Família Ressaca MZ's Jano Donato. But to his dismay, Jano Donato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. 71 minutes into the match, Underdogs's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Mendonça came free, but Teobald Winszman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Elói Neiva took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Teobald Winszman to make any attempt to save it. 77 minutes into the match, Underdogs's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Neiva came free, but Teobald Winszman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Underdogs's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Neiva came free, but Teobald Winszman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lauro Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piotr Zbikowski in the 95th minute of play.
