After 6 played minutes FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Silva. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Davi Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catugi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Davi Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umberto Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Catugi FC were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Davi Proença took the corner. Catugi FC's Dieguinho Donatello was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Umberto Torres in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 13 minutes into the match, Jailson Trigo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Catugi FC's Luizão Braga. Luizão Braga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Chiquinho Meirelles hit a great ball. In the 18th match minute, FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Umberto Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi Proença in the 20th minute of the match. With 21 minutes on the clock, Dieguinho Donatello commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 27th play minute Glauco de Amorim came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Umberto Torres. 1-2. Silas Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Glauco de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Umberto Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Catugi FC defense, Jailson Trigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizão Braga. The Catugi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizão Braga should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute, Luiz Gustavo do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Umberto Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frederico Bertassi in the 39th minute. If Glauco de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Frederico Bertassi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Umberto Torres. That made the score 2-3 in the 42 minute of play. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glauco de Amorim made a kick off. Silas Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco de Amorim in the 64th minute of play forced FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's goalkeeper Umberto Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glauco de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Frederico Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Torres having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo do Valle took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Umberto Torres. Umberto Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Frederico Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 86thth minute Júnior Soeiro easily got through Catugi FC's defense and fired away a shot, but Luizão Braga leaped left and performed a fabulous save. After some careless play in the Catugi FC defense, Aloísio Rosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizão Braga. The Catugi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizão Braga should have stopped the shot. Glauco de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Torres having to interfere. The FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
