The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Correia during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gernando de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. With a little luck, As de Ouro's Ricardo de Barros got control of the ball when Júnior Soeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute, As de Ouro's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jailson Trigo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in As de Ouro's zone, Aloísio Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo de Barros came out of the goal and Aloísio Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's Jailson Trigo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo de Barros. Ricardo de Barros yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, As de Ouro's Raphael Abreu got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's Ulisses Silva tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alexandre Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Ulisses Silva, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's Júnior Soeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. As de Ouro's Ricardo de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson Trigo in the 73rd minute of play.
